WIZARD BOOKS
ISOMETRIC ILLUSTRATION | POSTER DESIGN | MOTION GRAPHICS
This project is an illustrated poster design created using isometric techniques to explore visual storytelling through layered environments. The composition presents a single scene divided into three narrative levels, each representing a different stage of engagement with reading.
The central concept, “experience the magic in books,” guided the visual direction and informed the structure of the piece. A bookstore was designed as the focal environment, built using isometric scale and proportion to create depth and spatial clarity. The narrative unfolds across three levels. The first level represents casual engagement, showing visitors purchasing books and interacting socially within the space. The second level reflects deeper engagement, where readers are shown actively immersed in books. The third level represents full immersion, where books function as portals into imagined worlds, visually reinforcing the idea of reading as transformation. Colour and composition are used to guide focus throughout the scene. Books on the shelves are rendered in a single bold colour to direct attention toward key visual moments, while the surrounding environment supports contrast and spatial hierarchy. Windows and bookshelves act as visual gateways, reinforcing the concept of books as entry points into alternate worlds.
The final composition presents reading as a layered experience, moving from social interaction to full narrative immersion, using isometric structure and symbolic visual language to communicate the idea of storytelling as transformation.
