INFOGRAPHIC POSTER DESIGN
To design a 11”x17” infographic poster titled ‘Save The Bees’ to distill information in order to quickly, efficiently, and visually convey a message to the intended audience. The infographic needs to utilize original imagery, graphics, icons, and symbols to help guide the reader throughout the document utilizing the body copy provided.
The infographic represents the platform of saving the bees. It is educational, informative, and alerts the viewer about the loss of bees. It represents the optimism and encouragement to learn, to seek knowledge, and to find out how to be the solution rather than contributing to the problem. The design encourages a fresh perspective and new solutions that are enriched in knowledge. The chosen colours as well as shapes utilized in the design represent these keywords and focus. The information is laid out in a circular fashion to mimic the waggle dance done by bees, and the layout of the hexagons resembles a beehive establishing context and the natural habitat for bees. The information in the infographic is divided into four categories and broken down to tell a visual story that is supported with corresponding imagery, enticing the viewer to read and learn how to help be the solution to the problem.
